EMPILON® series: 800 Series

General
EMPILON® 800 series compounds have midblocks of a saturated elastomer, poly（ethylene/butylene, and usually contain specially plastics as the added polymer. These polymer compounds have the additional advantages of increased flame-retardant, oxidation and weather resistance, improved solvent resistance, higher service temperature, and better processing stability. A wide variety of articles can be made from EMPILON® 800 series compounds by using conventional molding or other forming techniques familiar to the thermoplastics industry. However, there are some differences in the processing behavior of these materials relative to other thermoplastics that necessitates minor modifications in mold designs and in processing conditions to achieve optimum performance. Whatever the wire, cable or electronic products are your planning to design by EMPILON® 800 series. EMPILON® 800 series offer UL94V compatibility what are foggy appearance, rubber-like feel and flame retardant.

Processing
EMPILON® 800 series compounds with saturated elastomer midblocks are considerably more stable to higher temperatures and shear rates. The normal processing temperature range is from 355 ~ 465 oF（180 ~ 240 oC）. These polymer compounds are often processed at higher shear rates.
Usually we recommend customers can pre-dry before thermoplastic processing.

Storage
Storage at room temperature（23  oC）in the original sealed bag and keep out water evaporation or high humidity place. General speak, Thermoplastic elastomer Empilon® compound can storage over 12 months from shipment date.
